Case Studies
Domain driven design
An Asset Manager with a European presence who have recently created a Data & Analytics division were looking to define their data models to better serve their customers.
The development of a core platform with domains relevant to their business was started using domain driven design. A group modelling approach called Event Storming was undertaken in order to model the domains and their interactions. It was a fun and lively debate with both technologists and business SMEs present in order to help drive ubiquitous language & understanding of the boundaries of each domain.
Atomic design modelling
A Financial Institution was expanding their web presence and wanted a consistent look and feel, as well as an adaptable and scalable approach to growing their business.
There were two main activities in this programme of work - the first was the migration of their CMS (content management system) as well as taking this opportunity to build out their Design System.
It was important to review the atoms, molecules & organisms utilised in their present adoption of the Design System and with this an understanding of how highly each was used. Some rationalisation of the whole took place in advance of a technology lead discussion around what “good” looks like and how we can embed these principles in the “Definition of Done”.
